Please be advised that transportation information for the 2019-2020 school year can now be viewed by logging into your Skyward Parent account. Bus numbers will be added shortly. Changes to this information may be made by calling the administration building at 412-655-8450 extension 2224.  

 

Bus stop locations are determined by the home address of your child and cannot be changed for convenience. If your child will be a car rider at any point during the year, please be sure to register for a car tag. More information on the procedures for car riders can be found at www.wjhsd.net under District News.  

 

Because each school will soon begin preparing their dismissal procedures, including creating bus lists for teachers and other important transportation-related tasks, all change requests must be called in by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, August 19th. Change requests called in on/after August 20th will not go into effect until September 9th. These restrictions are necessary to ensure a safe and efficient dismissal during the first days of the new school year.  

 

If your child attends Red Apple, Tiny Tikes, Tender Care or Little Kids Playcare, you do not need to call. These care providers have already provided your child’s transportation information to us. If your child attends any other after-school care program, please call the administration building.

 

To reduce the ride and wait times for all students, the bus runs for this year will be separated by grades. Students in K-2 will board a different bus at a different time than their siblings in grades 3-5. The estimated wait time in between both buses is 7-10 minutes. The longest bus ride is estimated to be less than 30 minutes.  

 

Please check your child’s transportation information in Skyward periodically so you are updated with any changes.
