Chromebook Insurance
In an effort to improve our Chromebook protection program for the 2019-20 school year, the District will offer two options for student Chromebook insurance - “Always-on” insurance or “Standard” insurance. There is no reason to purchase both. Click here for details and purchasing information. 
Transportation Information Available in Skyward
Please be advised that transportation information for the 2019-2020 school year can now be viewed by logging into your Skyward Parent account. Bus numbers will be added shortly. Changes to this information may be made by calling the administration building at 412-655-8450 extension 2224. If you are new to the district or do not yet have a Skyward account, please call the above number.   
CHIP, Children's Health Insurance Program
CHIP, short for the Children’s Health Insurance Program, covers uninsured kids and teens up to age 19 who are not eligible for Medical Assistance in Pennsylvania. It’s easy to sign up, and even easier to qualify. CHIP provides quality, comprehensive health insurance for routine doctor visits, prescriptions, dental, eye care, eyeglasses, mental health, and much more. 2019-2020 K-5 Car Rider Registration and Information
In order to ensure the safest and most efficient methods for student dismissal, the West Jefferson Hills School District is continuing to use a system at the elementary and intermediate schools for those students who are being picked up at the end of the school day. The system will utilize car tags and backpack tags to identify students and ensure that they are released only to drivers who are approved to pick them up. Click here for the registration form and letter. All Car Rider Registration Forms are due by August 9, 2019 at Jefferson Hills Intermediate School. 
2019-2020 School Board Meetings
The Board of Directors of the West Jefferson Hills School District has set the following meeting dates for August 2019 through June 2020.  The Board work sessions will begin at 7:30 P.M. on Tuesday, August 20, September 17,  October 15, November 19, 2019; and January 21, February 18, March 17, April 21, Wednesday, May 19, and June 16, 2020.  The Regular meetings will begin at 7:30 P.M. on Tuesday, August 27, September 24, October 22, December 3, 2019; and January 28, February 25, March 24, Wednesday, April 29, May 26, and June 23, 2020.  The December Reorganization meeting will begin at 7:00 P.M. on December 3, 2019.  The Work Sessions, Regular, and Reorganization Board meetings will be held in the NEW Thomas Jefferson High School LGI Room, 830 Old Clairton Road, Jefferson Hills, PA.

West Jefferson Hills School District will be using the School Messenger system to deliver text messages, straight to your mobile phone with important information about events, school closings, safety alerts and more. You will be given the opportunity to choose whether or not you would like to receive these text messages. West Jefferson Hills School District Recognized as Common Sense District

Common Sense Education, the national nonprofit organization dedicated to helping kids and families thrive in a world of digital media and technology, has recognized the West Jefferson Hills School District as a Common Sense District. As part of our commitment to personalized learning and 1:1 technology, the district has implemented Digital Citizenship classes for all students in grades 5- 12. We have partnered with Common Sense Media to provide our students with the necessary skills and information to conduct themselves in a safe and responsible manner online.
