Back to School Technology Updates by Grade Level

When students return to school, daily technology support will be available in each building. Please refrain from emailing teachers about technical issues with summer updates. Assistance will be provided once your child is back in school.

Returning Students in Grades 10, 11, 12
  • ClassLink: The district no longer utilizes Clever to access digital resources.  ClassLink is the new platform used for accessing digital resources. ClassLink provides single sign-on access to your digital resources and applications. Classlink can be found in the WJHSD Bookmarks folder in Chrome or by visiting this link: https://launchpad.classlink.com/wjhsd
  • Fully charge your Chromebook. Create a routine to charge your device each night so it is fully charged for the next school day. If you do not have a charger, you can purchase one from the district for $30. Please contact [email protected] if interested in purchasing one.
  • Updated Passwords: On July 29, 2024, all student passwords were reconfigured to include "Wjhsd," their Student ID (lunch number), followed by an exclamation point in the following format: Wjhsd#####! The password is case sensitive. For example, if your child’s lunch number is 12345, their new password will be Wjhsd12345! If your child knows their lunch code (Student ID), they can log in using their existing student email address and the new password format now. If your child does not know their lunch code (Student ID), you can find it in their student profile in Skyward.

Incoming High School Students - Grade 9
  • Students should have their Chromebooks from PHMS. If there are any problems with the device, please submit an email explaining the issue, your child’s name and grade level to [email protected]. Technology support will be available on Thursday, August 15th during the Freshman LEAP program at TJHS.
  • Fully charge your Chromebook. Create a routine to charge your device each night so it is fully charged for the next school day. If you do not have a charger, you can purchase one from the district for $30. Please contact [email protected] if interested in purchasing one.

Pleasant Hills Middle School Students entering Grades 7 and 8
  • Parents/guardians who were unable to attend one of the summer iPad distribution dates should complete this online form as soon as possible to give us permission to send home your child’s iPad and charger on the first day of school.

Pleasant Hills Middle School Students entering Grade 6
  • Locate and fully charge your iPad. Students should have their iPads from JHIS. Create a routine to charge your device each night so it is fully charged for the next school day.
  • Connect your iPad to your home wifi. IPads should automatically connect to school wifi when you enter your building.
  • Complete a Hard Reset of your iPad.  Hold down the home and power buttons simultaneously and release when you see the Apple Logo.  This is a very important step to ensure app proper app updates.
  • Click Settings > General > Software Update to check for, download, and install any iOS updates.
