Congratulations, Mr. Murphy, our MVP Principal!

Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation Awards Thomas Jefferson High School Principal as Penguins MVP for 2021-2022! 

Mr. Pete Murphy, Thomas Jefferson High School Principal, was recognized as one of 16 principals from Allegheny County as Penguins Most Valuable Principals (MVP) for the 2021-22 school year.  This program, highlighting the amazing work done over this past year, recognizes principals who demonstrate an innovative approach to learning, a continuous strive for excellence and a passion for their school and students.

This is the second year for the program, which is sponsored by the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation, in partnership with the Allegheny Intermediate Unit and the Grable Foundation. The goal of the program is to recognize hard working and deserving principals, especially those who have gone above and beyond for their communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr. Murphy will receive a monetary donation for his school and a bag of Pittsburgh Penguins goodies including a personalized jersey! Congratulations to Mr. Murphy as a well-deserved recipient, and we thank you for all you do for our students and staff!
