We have an icy announcement to share that is sure to fire up your Jaguar pride! Thomas Jefferson High School is a proud member of the Special Olympics Unified Sports program. The TJ Unified Bocce team rolled on to the winter sports schedule two years ago, and the Jaguars are in the midst of their second competitive season through the Special Olympics.
This year, Thomas Jefferson High School will participate in the Special Olympics Cool Schools Polar Plunge at Acrisure Stadium on Friday, February 21. A group of student-athletes, Best Buddies, and staff will make the frigid leap into swimming pools set up on Art Rooney Avenue all to benefit the Special Olympics of Western Pennsylvania. And what will really warm them up is your support. You can contribute to the Thomas Jefferson “Jumping Jags” by donating on their team page
by clicking here. The team’s goal is to raise $500.
We’ll be sure to share updates in the coming weeks. And be sure to follow the district on social media on Jump Day for photos and videos from the North Shore.
Stay warm!
