When customers at the Starbucks in Pleasant Hills are fueling up for the holiday frenzy this December, they are getting a look at the creativity of Pleasant Hills Middle School students. Michael Fratangelo’s middle school artists recently reimagined the famous Starbucks holiday cups.

Mr. Fratangelo will frequently lead “re-IMAGINE and DESIGN” projects in his classes. This year, after taking a look at the coffee chain’s holiday cups, he wanted to give his students the chance to put their spin on it. The students looked at all the Starbucks cups throughout the chain’s history and then came up with their own design. Those designs are now on display at the Starbucks location on Route 51.
