Twenty-four Thomas Jefferson High School students will play a critical role in the democratic process as they serve as poll workers at nine polling places across the area on Tuesday, November 5. Seventeen students will work seven-hour shifts, with the remainder serving at the polling location for more than 14 hours. Thomas Jefferson High School educator Leah Freeman coordinates the efforts with Allegheny County.
Thomas Jefferson students AJ Cardillo, Ava Fleming, Zach Gore, Annmarie Graham, Gavin Hart, Gavin Ignaczak ,Abigail Kauffman ,Cole Macneil ,Kamryn Mull, Liberty Neeley, Kritika Neupane, Mary Pesanka, Sujan Pradhan, Manju Pradhan, Reagan Sanderson, Jacob Shoemaker, Natalee Steiner, Hrithka Tamang, Jeremy Thompson, Cara Vereb, Olivia Virgin, Katie Weir, Michaela Wetzel, and Derick Wise will be at polling locations in Jefferson Hills, Pleasant Hills, Clairton, and South Park.
