Homecoming 2024

Homecoming 2024 Court

Thomas Jefferson High School students had plenty of opportunities to celebrate their Jaguar pride with numerous Homecoming festivities over two weeks.

Homecoming Week began with a parade on the high school campus on Sunday, September 29. Members of the 2024 Homecoming Court were led onto the TJ campus from Jefferson Hills Intermediate School by the Thomas Jefferson High School Cheerleaders and the Jaguar Marching Band.

The 2024 Homecoming Court included students Morgan Alisesky, Savannah Baker, Toni Blosl, Mia Costa, Myla Evans, Caitlin Joyce, Isabella Kear, Reese Lawry, Peyton Oeler, Bailey Ringloff, Liv Stock, Olivia Virgin, and Makenna Weiss.

Once the parade ended, WJHSD families stuck around for an enjoyable evening at the Fall Field Day organized by the TJHS classes. There were spikeball, pickleball, and cornhole tournaments with prizes, as well as delicious food for purchase.

Throughout the week at Thomas Jefferson High School, the Jaguars got into the spirit with theme days. They wore their pajamas on Monday, chose country or country club on Tuesday, were decked out in their class color on Wednesday, threw it back on Throwback Thursday, and wore their Homecoming shirts on Friday.

The Homecoming football game was even more special as it was selected as the Steelers High School Showcase Game of the Week. The game was broadcast live on KDKA+ and featured special appearances by former Steelers safety Mike Logan and Steely McBeam. The Jaguars defended their undefeated record and beat the Trinity Hillers 27-7.

At halftime, the big crowd was introduced to the 2024 Homecoming Court. Peyton Oeler was announced as the first runner-up. Olivia Virgin was crowned the 2024 Homecoming Queen.

The fun will continue at the annual Homecoming Dance on Sunday, October 13 at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh in downtown.
