The TJHS JagWire

The JagWire

Mrs. Kaszonyi is proud to feature student work from the three courses she teaches—CHS Public Relations, CHS Journalism, and AP English Language and Composition—through The JagWire, Thomas Jefferson High School’s student-run online news publication.

In addition to classroom instruction, Mrs. Kaszonyi hosts bi-weekly JagWire Journalists PLTs on Fridays (PLT A) in Room C210, providing students with dedicated time to collaborate, edit, and develop their skills as journalists and media professionals.

The JagWire was created and pitched by Mrs. Kaszonyi, who also named the publication, wrote the homepage descriptions, developed the content sections, and designed the overall website. The publication serves as a platform for students to share stories, perspectives, and news that impact the TJHS community.

Special recognition goes to student editors Kylie Killian and Lily Bradford, whose leadership and dedication were instrumental in bringing the first edition to life.

Through The JagWire, Mrs. Kaszonyi continues to empower students as writers, editors, designers, and communicators—providing authentic, real-world experiences that prepare them for future careers in media, communications, and beyond. Check out volume 1!
