ATHLETICS:

·          V Baseball hosts Trinity:  dismissal 2:00, departure 2:15, game 4:00.

·          JV Baseball hosts Trinity:  dismissal 2:00, departure 2:15, game 4:00.

·          Boys Tennis travels to Carlynton:  dismissal 1:45, departure 2:00, match 3:30.

 

Saturday is the Boys/Girls TJ Jaguar Track Invitational starting at 9:00 AM.

 

All Varsity and JV Baseball players are reminded to see Mr. Fouts before early dismissal today.

 

Mr. Kaszonyi’s and Ms. Mecchia’s U.S. History II classes should bring their books to class today.

 

CARNIVAL:

There is a meeting after school next Tuesday, April 29 in the LGI for all class officers, club presidents and advisors.  Please bring ideas that your organization would like to sponsor for this year’s Carnival to be held on Wednesday, June 4.

 

STUDENT COUNCIL:

All permission forms for the field trip to the Pirates Game are due to Mr. Erdely by Wednesday, April 30th.

 

SPECTRUM:

Calling all poets, essayists and short story writers.  Submit your creative writing to the Spectrum, TJ’s literary magazine.  Please attach a submission form and have them “printer ready”.  The gold Spectrum box is in room 124.

 

PROM:

Tickets can be purchased in room 116 each morning until the end of this week ONLY.  Those still interested in buying a ticket must have their own and their date’s homerooms and home phone numbers at that time.

 

Table reservations will be conducted TODAY, Friday, April 25 and Monday, April 28 during lunch periods.  Additional reservation forms are in room 116 or in the office.

 

There will NOT be a Prom Committee 2008 meeting next week.

 

PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB:

Please take more pictures for Starving for the Arts.  We will have a matting day on Tuesday, April 29th.

 

SCRAPBOOKING CLUB:

The next meeting will be held after school on Monday, April 28th in the Library.

 

GUIDANCE/SCHOLARSHIP INFO:

Students interested in summer school courses to satisfy course failures, sequential subjects or for personal improvement are encouraged to pick up the summer school packets in the Guidance Office.  All Summer Course Work forms must be submitted to your counselor by Friday, June 6th.  Please plan accordingly.

 

WALK FOR THE CURE:

Attention students interested in participating or volunteering for the Susan G. Komen’s WALK FOR THE CURE:  Information and registration forms are available in the health office.

 

REMINDER TO JUNIORS:

The PSSA Science Assessment test will be administered Tuesday, April 29, Wednesday, April 30 and Thursday, May 1.  These tests will be administered in your junior homeroom.  Please report directly to your homeroom when entering the school since testing will begin promptly at 8:00 AM.
