WENDY’S HIGH SCHOOL HEISMAN AWARD

Wendy’s Restaurants have teamed up with the Heisman Memorial Trophy committee to create the Wendy’s High school Heisman Award. The award honors both male and female high school students who excel in academics, athletics and student leadership.

This year all student-athletes who work hard, are dedicated, and are leaders among their underclassmen are invited to apply.

Eligible students can register and begin the application process at www.wendyheisman.com. Eligibility is limited exclusively to male and female students who exhibit excellence in the classroom, in the field, and within their communities. Eligibility for application is limited exclusively to men and women entering their senior year of high school in the 2010-2011 academic year who have at least a “B” average and participate in at least one school-sponsored sport.

Completed applications are due by October 3^rd, 2010. The online application must be completed by student no later than 5:00 PM, central time, on October 3, 2010. Each student applicant must have their online application reviewed and confirmed online by a school representative (guidance counselor, principal). Reviewers have until October 5, 2010 at 5:00 PM, central time, to complete their review.

After October 25^th you will be able to check for School Winners and follow your progress online.

State Finalists will be announced in November, with the National Finalist winners determined in mid-November.

National Finalists will be named in late November and will be invited to New York City for Heisman Weekend activities, including the Wendy’s High School Heisman Award Banquet.
