JOINT APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM

 

The Western Pennsylvania District Council #57 Joint Apprenticeship and Training Program will be accepting applications for apprenticeship in the Painters/Glaziers/Drywall Finishers program for the year 2008.

 

Applications are accepted year round, however, applications will be accepted in person at the District Council #57 office:  101 Ewing Road, Carnegie, PA  15106, on the following dates and time.

Selection process will be intent to hire.  Selection will be made according to the needs within the 32 counties of Western Pennsylvania covered by the Training Program.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

  1. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age at time of indenturement.
  2. Prior to final acceptance, a doctor’s certificate of examination may be required.
  3. A certified drug test will be required before indenturement into the Program, at the Program’s expense.
  4. Applicant must be a citizen of the Unit4ed States (or legal alien).
  5. Applicant must submit a non-refundable processing fee with the application (money order or certified check in the amount of $20.00).
  6. Applicant must have a High School Diploma or GED.  (Submitted with Application)
  7. Applicant must have a valid driver’s license for the state of residency and have dependable transportation.  (Submitted with Application)

 

This is a training opportunity; the Western Pennsylvania District Council #57 Joint Apprenticeship and training committee or its trustees do not and cannot guarantee full employment.  Employment, when available, will be through the District Council #57 respective Collective Bargaining Agreements.
