About the Teacher

Mr. Hasak’s Computer Class

ABOUT

Mr. Hasak is a native to Pittsburgh and the South Hills.

He graduated from South Park High School in 1994.  He went on to receive his BSBA in Accounting from Robert Morris College in 1998.  Unsatisfied with the business world, Mr. Hasak began teaching an Accounting night class for adults at Duff’s Business Institute in 2001.  He liked it so much that he pursued his teaching certificate back at Robert Morris University.  He obtained his certificate and started teaching at Pleasant Hills Middle School in 2002.

Since working at PHMS, he has updated the entire middle school computer curriculum, has taken the Jaguar’ Paw (school newspaper) completely online, has completed his Master’s Degree at Robert Morris University & has held after-school computer software seminars for the faculty.  He also continues to teach adult Accounting classes at Everest Institute (formerly Duff’s Business Institute).

Mr. Hasak has become a father to two children since starting the job at the middle school.  Ilijana was born in September of 2003 and Milo was born in June of 2005.

As many students are aware of, Mr. Hasak enjoys working with middle school students.  On a personal level, he loves spending time with his family at home and swimming laps at the YMCA before the school day.  Mr. Hasak hopes to spend his entire teaching career here in Pleasant Hills.
