In the 8^th grade students will explore the growing field of engineering and technology. From the previous two years the students will have an understanding of how to solve problems using the engineering design process and they will apply that knowledge in this course.  Students will complete two major tasks in this course.  The first will be to use a CAD program to create a product using the CNC router.  Automation is a big part of our world and students will acquire the skills to run automated systems during this process.  After completion, they will begin a desktop publishing project that will require the use of computers and Adobe Photoshop.  By the end of this course students will have the ability to solve technological problems using modern equipment and processes that will have a positive impact on their future careers.
