Meet Mrs. Gilchrist!

Mrs. Gilchrist is the librarian for McClellan Elementary School and Gill Hall Elementary School in the West Jefferson Hills School District. To visit her web page for Gill Hall Elementary, Click Here.

She holds a Bachelor's Degree in English from Saint Vincent College and a Master's Degree in Library and Information Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh (Go Pitt!).

Her favorite picture book is The Best Nest by P.D. Eastman, and her favorite chapter book for kids is The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien.

Who's Mrs. Coughenour?

You may see her on Wednesdays or Thursdays in the library... who is that lady working on books in the back office? Mrs. Coughenour, affectionately known as "Mrs. Coconut" to many students, is the library secretary for the entire West Jefferson Hills School District. Since there are five building libraries in this school district, she spends one day each week at each library. Mrs. Coughenour is quite the busy bee--repairing books, A.R.-labeling, entering new books into the electronic card catalog, helping Mrs. Gilchrist order new books for the library... the list goes on and on! When you see Mrs. C, be sure to say hello and thank her for all her help in the library!
