Mr. Suhail
Baloch began his tenure with West Jefferson Hills School
District in October 2001 as the District Technology
Coordinator. His education includes a Bachelors degree in
Physics and Astronomy and a Masters degree in Science Education
from University of Pittsburgh. Prior to joining the district,
Mr. Baloch’s employment history included Systems Physicist,
Physics and Science Teacher, District Technology Liaison, and
Curriculum Integration Specialist.
Mr. Baloch’s
educational philosophy centers around inclusivity, cooperative
learning, and inquiry based education. He feels that every
student has the capacity to attain his or her utmost potential
through relevant instruction, hands-on experiences, and both
self-guided and coached investigations and analysis. He
also believes that appropriate use of technology can
dramatically improve student achievement and enhance general orientation
towards instruction and learning.
In his personal time, Mr.
Baloch is an avid whitewater kayaker, mountain biker, climber,
and serves as the board director and coach for Steel City
Dragons dragon boat team based in Fox Chapel. He also loves to
travel and considers the South West one of his favorite
locations.
