Mrs. Lindsey Mitko, Pleasant Hills Middle School
A
group of Mrs. Mitko's students on team 7-2 had the opportunity to video
conference with T. Kelly Witherspoon at the John C. Stennis Space
Center. The students were able to discover how mathematics
is used in air traffic control to prevent collisions. Students
used an air flight simulator to solve air traffic
control problems and they were also able to create and solve their
own flight collision problems.
