Compassion, character, and humanity exemplify the students, parents, administration, faculty, and staff in the West Jefferson Hills School District.  Through their generosity and commitment they have supported various national and international foundations and associations, which dedicate themselves to medical research and community outreach.

Thus far this year, the West Jefferson Hills School District community has participated in and contributed to the following associations:

Gill Hall Elementary

A Math-A- Thon to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital ~ $7,000

Collected monetary donations to benefit Operation Troop Appreciation ~$1,100

McClellan Elementary

Jump Rope for Heart and Hoop for Heart Program to benefit the American Heart Association ~$8,171

“Alex’s Lemonade Stand” to benefit children diagnosed with cancer ~$655

“The Pencil Project” collected new pencils to be sent to children in Africa

A Read –A- Thon to benefit the “Friends of Danang” ~$2,000

Pleasant Hills Middle School

A Community Blood Drive to benefit Mr. Jeff Reiss.

Gently used school supplies were collected and donated to a local organization

Jefferson Elementary

The Jump Rope for Heart Event to benefit the American Heart Association ~$3,900
