Notice of Public Auction
On Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 9:00AM, the West Jefferson Hills School District will hold a public auction of surplus, out-of-date, unusable or obsolete school furnishings, equipment and other items. The auction will be held in the former Thomas Jefferson High School cafeteria located at 310 Old Clairton Road, Jefferson Hills, PA 15025. Doors open at 8:00am for preview of the items to be auctioned. The auction is open to all individuals including West Jefferson Hills School District students, employees, volunteers, school board members, and residents and non-residents. Committee of the Whole
The Board of Directors of the West Jefferson Hills School District has set the following dates to meet as a Committee of the Whole, for general business and other items that may come before the board, from September 2019 through June 2020:  September 10, October 8, and November 12, 2019; and January 14, February 11, March 10, April 14, May 12, and June 9, 2020. No official votes will be taken at these meetings. The public is welcome to attend. The meetings will be held at 6:00 PM in the Superintendent’s Conference Room in the Administration Office of the new Thomas Jefferson High School, 830 Old Clairton Road, Jefferson Hills, PA. Please use the Administration Building entrance.
WJHSD Halls of Fame
The District is pleased to announce a new Halls of Fame program! Here, we honor individuals who have distinguished themselves in one of three areas: Academics, the Arts, or Athletics. Recipients may include former students, teachers, and community members, all of whom have made unique and lasting contributions to Thomas Jefferson High School. Please join us in celebrating past achievements and consider nominating a worthy individual.  Nominations for the 2019 Thomas Jefferson Halls of Fame must be received by September 21, 2019 to be considered. Nominations can come from any current or former student, teacher, staff member, volunteer, or community member.  The 2019 Halls of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held on Friday, Oct. 25, 2019, before the final home football game against West Mifflin.  Please click here for the Staff/Volunteer Nomination packet. Click here for the Alumni Nomination packet. 
Football Tickets
Football ticket pre-sale for home and away games will be on Wednesday evenings from 6-7PM at the TJ Stadium ticket window.  Tickets will also be sold to students in the Athletic Office during the day on Thursday and Friday.  Home ticket prices for Adults are $8 and Students are $5. Ticket prices for Away games will vary. Additional parking is available at Jefferson Hills Intermediate School for Friday home football games. A shuttle bus will begin departing from JHIS at 6:00PM to the high school stadium and will begin the return trip after the completion of the 3rd quarter. 
Chromebook Insurance
In an effort to improve our Chromebook protection program for the 2019-20 school year, the District will offer two options for student Chromebook insurance - “Always-on” insurance or “Standard” insurance. There is no reason to purchase both. Click here for details and purchasing information. 
SMS Text Opt-in
West Jefferson Hills School District will be using the School Messenger system to deliver text messages, straight to your mobile phone with important information about events, school closings, safety alerts and more. You will be given the opportunity to choose whether or not you would like to receive these text messages. West Jefferson Hills School District Recognized as Common Sense District

Common Sense Education, the national nonprofit organization dedicated to helping kids and families thrive in a world of digital media and technology, has recognized the West Jefferson Hills School District as a Common Sense District. As part of our commitment to personalized learning and 1:1 technology, the district has implemented Digital Citizenship classes for all students in grades 5- 12. We have partnered with Common Sense Media to provide our students with the necessary skills and information to conduct themselves in a safe and responsible manner online.
